At GBar (operated by BLUEOUTLOOK LLC), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our LGBTQ+ community. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Data: When you register, we collect your phone number/email and require your explicit confirmation that you are at least 18 years old. You may optionally provide profile details (nickname, gender, bio, date of birth) after registration.
- Device Permissions (require your explicit consent):
- Location/GPS: We collect your precise location data to calculate distances and help you discover nearby users and activities. You can revoke this in your device settings.
- Camera & Photos: We access your camera and photo library so you can upload profile pictures and send image messages.
- Usage Data: We automatically collect device information (IP address, device ID, OS version) and log data for security and crash analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties. We use your data to:
- Operate and maintain the Service (including matchmaking and real-time chat).
- Ensure safety and compliance (e.g., detecting fraud, blocking abusive users, and enforcing our Zero Tolerance UGC policy).
- Support future features like live broadcasting and virtual item transactions.
3. Chat Data & Privacy
Our system is designed with privacy in mind. We do not permanently store your real-time chat history on our servers for data mining purposes. Once messages are delivered or an account is deleted, chat data is purged according to our server retention cycles.
4. Account Deletion & Data Retention (Right to be Forgotten)
You have full control over your data. You can completely and physically delete your account at any time within the App by navigating to: Profile -> Settings -> Delete Account.
Upon initiating account deletion:
- Your profile, uploaded photos, activity records, and network connections will be permanently and irreversibly erased from our active databases.
- We may retain certain operational logs or transaction records only as long as required by applicable law (e.g., anti-money laundering regulations for future live-streaming payouts) or to resolve ongoing legal disputes.
5. Data Security & Encryption
We take the security of your highly sensitive personal information seriously. We implement robust, industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption at Rest: Your personal profile details and sensitive account data are cryptographically encrypted when stored in our backend databases. Even in the highly unlikely event of a data breach, your personal data remains unreadable.
- Encryption in Transit: All communications between your device and our servers are secured using advanced encryption protocols (e.g., HTTPS/TLS).
While we deploy these advanced architectural defenses to safeguard your privacy, please understand that no internet transmission or electronic storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute, vulnerability-proof security.
6. International Data Transfers
Our servers may be located in various regions. By using GBar, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notifications. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
